This chapter pits every playable character in Blazing Sword against every boss character from the same game in a single map, similar to another hack known as Sacred Contention (which pits the cast of Blazing Sword against the cast of Sacred Stones.) There are a handful of custom weapons, such as the Hero spells (which have the Brave effect), Yotsmungand from Thracia 776, and a Meteor spell. It is also Ephraim225's first known ROM hack of Blazing Sword.
Walkthrough
Boss Rush Mode is extremely straightforward, bearing no traps or surprises that have come to define Ragefest, and the player is given nearly 50 playable units, so permanent death is not as much a concern as it normally would be. All characters start at level 20 promoted with auto-level enabled; this has the side effect of making prepromoted units like Marcus completely overpowered, while characters like Eliwood and Hector end up with lower stats than expected (due to not actually gaining promotion bonuses and only half as many level-ups.) The goal is simply to Seize the third castle with Lyn. There are shops with items, but the player begins with no gold, so it will be necessary to sell items the player doesn't need in order to purchase anything.
The first wave of enemies consists of bosses from Lyn mode. They are not difficult to take down, but most fighting occurs in the middle of Kishuna's magic seal, disabling healing. As many of the Sages are equipped with status staves and possess enough range to hit someone from well outside the seal, it is likely someone will be hit with Sleep or Berserk and be unable to find a cure. Louise comes equipped with a Ballista: This can be traded to any other unit that can equip Bows, including the Warriors. By trading it between them, they can fire it many times per turn, and this is important for taking out the enemy Sages, as well as Denning, who also has a Ballista. The second wave consists of bosses from the rest of Blazing Sword, including sub-bosses like Maxime. As long as Kishuna is still alive, the only real threats are the bosses that guarded the legendary weapons in the original game. Kishuna should be brought down to low health as soon as possible, so he can be killed and magic enabled on a whim in case of an emergency. The Sages will probably be out of spells by this point anyways.
The final castle consists of Nergal, the morphs from the final chapter, and the Dragon. The morphs are entirely stationary and can even be ignored, but they drop powerful items, and Kenneth and Ursula possess siege tomes. They aren't invulnerable to an Assassin's Silencer ability, however. Nergal can be especially dangerous to approach: As he is adjacent to the Dragon, he is impossible to attack without also being in the Dragon's range. It is recommended to have Athos or another powerful unit attack him, then pull them out, heal them, and repeat. Nergal can only heal through his Elixir, so use of Ninian and all of her rings is also recommended. The Dragon is by far the hardest enemy in the chapter: Due to a bug, the Dragon will not vanish from the map unless killed on Enemy Phase, and it also heals during the Enemy Phase due to being on a throne. Placing Athos in front of the Dragon and healing him every turn, with Athos never actually initiating a fight, appears to be the best way to handle it. Anyone with 38 HP or more can heal Athos without dying. Once the Dragon is down, the throne can be Seized. There is no ending cutscene.
